Through or around?

Fernwood Lake Trail, Ravenswood, Gloucester.

Lovely April day in Gloucester, Mass. Temperatures in the high 30s. Damp, windy. Spitting snow and sleet. Just like August on the top of Mt. Washington.

The choice I had on my trail run today — go through or around? Went through — if there’s one thing I’ve learned from hiking in the White Mountains, it’s that being wet isn’t the end of the world. Sometimes it’s even fun.

Aaaahhh, that explains it. I was wondering what your Twitter post, “through or around” was referring to! I applaud you for going through.

  2. Through, definitely. Builds character and makes you shoes smelly!
